About Michael
Michael Francis McDermott was born in 1988.
In the Name of the Father is the first novel he has ever released. It is also his first attempt at dystopian fiction.
Michael graduated from university in 2010 with bachelor’s degrees in law and business. In his business career, he has worked in the United States, Australia and China.
In his spare time he enjoys history, live music, the gym, surfing, tennis and playing guitar. He also enjoys visiting historical sites around the world. His favorite book is George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four.
He lives in Sydney, Australia.
